Background

The biological cloud computing data center is a data center built for the biological industry based on cloud computing architecture. The rapid growth of genome sequencing data has led to an exponential growth in the demand for computing and storage in the biological industry. Because of the increasing growth of computing and storage capacity caused by the continuous flood of information, the data center of biological cloud computing is different from other industry data centers, which has unique characteristics and higher requirements for technology. The main goal of this biocloud platform construction is to build biological cloud infrastructure and basic management platform. In addition to the existing IT system, we will establish a unified service management mode and new service node construction standard.

The whole private cloud platform is made up of two systems: virtualization resource pool and BOSS. Virtualization resource pool provides cloud computing resources such as computing, storage and network. BOSS provides unified management for these resources. According to the status of the IT system and the planning and prediction within three years, a unified data storage and document storage server is established. The design of the production project management system platform is mainly composed of three parts: business intelligence, production project management and process platform. Establish a unified safety operation standard and establish a unified standard double machine backup mechanism. The project uses virtualization technology, high performance computing, high-speed and cloud storage system and other advanced technology, to ensure the whole system to the leading technology in design, and in accordance with the current direction of development of life science and technology.
